Trim a piece of inner tube off a small diameter one and stretch it between the lighter switch button and the body to keep the valve from opening. And wrap some duct tape around the body of it, it makes great tinder if you tear strips off it.
You can also mix potassium perm. with plain old table sugar and rub it with a stick or spoon and create fire, not just glycerin.
