As we enter into the new year, it’s time, once again, to look back at where we’ve come from and look ahead to where we are going.
While the last year has been one of considerable change, as President Trump has been hard at work to fulfill his campaign promises, the next year looks like it will be more challenging. Not only has he not been successful in doing much about entrenched the RINOs in Congress, but the Democrat Party won a majority in the House of Representatives, which is likely to cause us considerable trouble.
More than anything, the next year looks to be one dominated by politics. Not just politics, but politics of the pettiest sort. With the division we currently see in our country, it is unlikely that we are going to move ahead in any meaningful way. Rather, it looks like our country is heading into greater and greater division, as the political left tends more and more towards extremism.
So, without further adieu, here are my predictions for 2019:
Congress Will be in Deadlock
Nancy Pelosi, the once and future Speaker of the House, has been busy talking about her plans to undo every bit of progress that President Trump has accomplished. She obviously thinks she has greater power and authority than she actually does. But then again, she’s demonstrated that she isn’t quite in touch with reality more than once.
With a Democrat controlled House of Representatives and a Republican controlled Senate, I doubt that we’ll see any meaningful legislation come out of Congress over the next 12 months. The Republicans have lost out on their opportunity to do away with Obamacare, and they probably won’t get another one. The Democrats and the RINOs won this round. The only way there’s a chance of this changing, is if enough Democrat lawmakers are indicted to give the balance of power back to the Republican Party.
Many Ridiculous House Investigations
Democrat hatred of the president has maintained itself at a high over the last two years. Showing themselves to be bad sports, leftists have been in a constant temper-tantrum. Now that they have control of the House of Representatives, they will use this power to convene a constant string of investigations into the actions of the president, even for actions which are not illegal.
Of course, the purpose of all these investigations will be to discredit the president, merely as a political act. Their strategy since day one has been to try and make Trump look bad, with the idea of destroying his base. But the base is on to those tricks and aren’t buying all the hate-filled rhetoric that’s coming out of the left. Nevertheless, they’ve convinced themselves that they can yell loud enough to make him fall off the top of the mountain.
In conjunction with this, we can expect the news media to carry detailed reports of every false investigation and every lying witness. Since this is nothing more than a political act, it will be made into as much of a spectacle as they can, including more sit-ins in Congress and other childish acts.
The House will Impeach Donald Trump
The Democrat Party has been calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump ever since he won the election, even before his inauguration. One of the reasons they will be conducting all those investigations will be to try and dig up valid reasons to impeach the president. But as we’ve already seen, they don’t care if they have legal grounds to impeach him, they’ll do it anyway.
There are actually very few legitimate reasons for impeachment of a president. So, whatever ground they end up using for the impeachment probably won’t be legitimate ones. All it will be is a bunch of political posturing, intended to make the president look bad. Of course, the impeachment will stall in the Senate, who will exonerate the president.
More Violence and Rioting
The left’s brown shirts, otherwise known as ANTIFA and BLM will be out in force, in attacks which are coordinated to line up with every Democrat political loss. They are still working on perfecting their tactic of using violence to force acquiescence on the part of their political rivals. We can expect their efforts to continue in this regard.
Of major concern here is how much backbone Republican lawmakers have. While there are a few actual heroes, who are willing to stand up to anything the left throws their way, there are too many Republicans who are afraid of having their lives disrupted, their names smeared across television screens and their reputations tarnished in Democrat homes. These people will become the main targets of the left, as they try to force them to caucus with the Democrats, regardless of their party affiliation.
The Supreme Court will Become More Conservative
With the pending retirement of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, President Trump will have the opportunity to appoint a third conservative justice to the highest court in the land. While Brett Kavenaugh has not yet proven to be as conservative as expected, this third justice could lock the court in a conservative strain for the next couple of decades.
This may be the most important single act of Trump’s presidency, as the effect is something that will far outlast his time in office. With the Democrats using voter fraud and illegal immigrants to lock-in their chances of winning future presidential elections, it is possible that Republicans will lose the ability to win the White House in the foreseeable future. Our only protection from progressive-liberal policies may be a conservative SCOTUS.
North Korea will Back Out of their Agreement
President Trump has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for brining North Korea to the bargaining table. This has been lauded as a historic concession from North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un. But it’s not the first time that North Korea has agreed to negotiate. The question is whether they will stay at the bargaining table or will back out.
In the past, North Korea has used such negotiations as a means of gaining a few concessions and some breathing room, while never intending to live up to any bargain, or even to strike a bargain. This may very well be another such situation. If so, we can expect them to launch an attack, either at us or at South Korea, the day they walk away from negotiations.
California will try to Secede
As the country’s greatest liberal bastion, California has led the way in hatred of President Trump and everything he stands for. This doesn’t look like it’s going to go away anytime soon, especially with Democrats winning control of the House.
There are those in California who are working towards secession from the United States, just like there are those in Texas working towards the same goal. When Obama was in office, this movement gained a lot of ground in Texas. Now, with Trump in office, it’s gaining a lot of ground in California. It is likely we will see this brought to a vote in California. Whether it will pass is another thing.
The European Union will Begin to Dissolve
Many of Europe’s citizens are becoming more and more dissatisfied with the EU and turning back towards nationalism. We saw the bow wave of this with BREXIT and now we are beginning to see nationalist movements sprout up in other countries. Even France is feeling it, with their yellow vest protest.
The one-worlders were gaining considerable ground during Obama’s presidency. But then, something happened that has set them back a long way… Donald Trump. Trump’s nationalist views and rhetoric have not only put a halt to their machinations here in the USA, but are beginning to do the same in Europe. Crowds are chanting for Trump, showing their support for a nationalist movement in their own countries.
While there are still many politicians on both sides of the aisle who are in favor of a one-world government, most are smart enough to realize that they can’t accomplish that against the entire population of the world. As this movement grows, we can expect to see the EU begin to fall apart. As that was the first step in their plan, it will put the one-worlders back a huge step.
A Major Investigation of Voter Fraud
The number of incidents of voter fraud that are being uncovered is increasing, with indictments and arrests becoming more common. This is largely due to a number of political action groups who are busy investigating voter fraud on their own. But some state attorneys are jumping on the bandwagon, especially in more conservative states.
Soon there will be enough impetus to demand a nationwide investigation of voter fraud, possibly concluding with indictments of some of the leaders of the Democrat Party. While that will not destroy the party, it should do something to clean out some of the trash.
The other thing that needs to happen, in conjunction with this, is a revamping of our voting system, to eliminate the potential that currently exists for fraud. Voter identification is critical; but so is using the power of computers to determine if anyone has already voted or is voting multiple times. Voter fraud will not come to a stop, until the likelihood of getting caught and going to jail becomes high enough to make it not worth taking the risk.
Criminal Charges will be Brought Against the Swamp
I keep hearing rumors about a large number of sealed indictments in Washington, aimed at draining the swamp. If this is true, it will fulfill Trump’s biggest campaign promise. There is a need to clean out the swamp, especially of those who are at the top. If government officials and politicians are not held accountable, then our government will just continue to get more and more corrupt.
If these indictments are true, there will be a major upheaval in Washington, when they are released and the arrests start. That will lead to a lot of unrest throughout the country, caused by the same muscle groups that back up all of the Democrat’s power plays, ANITFA and BLM. But it will be worth it.
